As Donald Trump gets closer and closer to being the Republican nominee for the President of the United States, many are curious as to whether he can actually do the job. Luckily, Tonight Show host Jimmy Fallon did a mock interview with The Donald to see if he's worthy of the gig.

And despite your opinions on the GOP frontrunner, it looks like Fallon deemed him worthy of the position. Which means a lot, because we all know how political Jimmy Fallon is.

(He's not.)

Anyway, Trump appeared on The Tonight Show to promote...himself. During his panel, the former reality TV star—who is now running for the Commander in Chief position—took part in a mock interview with Fallon to see if he has the POTUS chops.

So, does he? Let's see:

Okay, folks, now we ask: Does Donald Trump have what it takes to be the next President of the United States?

 Will be on @fallontonight with @jimmyfallon on #NBC at 11:35pmE. Enjoy! #Trump2016 #TrumpTrain

Trump also appeared on The Tonight Show to promote the upcoming Republican debate, which airs this coming Thursday on the Fox Business Network. The billionaire candidate will appear alongside fellow Republican candidates Ted Cruz, Marco Rubio, Ben Carson, Jeb Bush, Chris Christie and John Kasich.

Two people who won't be appearing on the main stage of the debate with Trump are Carly Fiorina and Sen. Rand Paul. The latter recently took issue with the decision to have him knocked off the first tier debate, telling CNN's Wolf Blitzer that he refuses to participate in anything but the main stage debate.

The main debate will air on the Fox Business Network at 9 p.m. ET., with the first event kicking off at 6 p.m. Those appearing in the first debate are Sen. Rand Paul (maybe), Fiorina, Mike Huckabee and Rick Santorum.
