The divorce drama between Real Housewives of Atlanta stars Kordell and Porsha Stewart continues. After being reportedly being 'misled' and blindsided with divorce papers from husband former Pittsburg Steelers quarterback Kordell "Slash" Stewart, Porsha has retained the lawyer from the recent Michael Jordan paternity case.
Randall Kessler, who represented Pamela Smith, the woman who claimed Michael Jordan fathered her 16-year-old son, will be represent Porsha in her divorce case with Kordell, according to Global Grind. Kessler also represented RHOA co-star Ne Ne Leakes in her divorce from now fiancé Greg Leakes
Kordell filed for divorce March 22 and stated that he did not wish to offer spousal support, in addition to alluding to a prenuptial agreement. There is no word on what will be the details of Porsha's divorce claims and the settlement, but Kessler released this statement in regards to the initial steps of what could be a long and nasty divorce battle:
"Typically there is a lot that happens but I can tell you that there will be a status conference where the parties get together and talk and the court helps direct them to work towards a resolution," said Kessler.
"I know Mr. Stewart's attorney very well and I have worked with him in the past and we will work with him in this case to the extent that his client allows," he added. "She learned that her husband filed for divorce by reading it in the press and wishes he would have told her first. She is very disappointed that her husband has mislead her in this way."
Just how much Kordell is worth and what Porsha will ask for, will come out sooner or later. Kordell and Porsha's marriage has been televised for the past couple of weeks. In the season 5 finale the couple goes to couples counseling.
