Heading into the end of Week 1 of the MLB 2013 regular season, ESPN predicts the season outlook team power rankings. The Angels head into the 2013 regular season at the no 15 spot - as Hudson Belinsky points out, "After a disappointing season in 2012, the Angels retooled and reworked their roster in the offseason. The club's offense should be as good as any in baseball, but the back of the rotation and the bullpen are both causes for concern. Opening week will provide a pair of early tests as the Angels take on Cincinnati and division rival Texas."
LA heads into this series with a 1-2, having just plaed the Cincinatti Reds.
The Rangers snag the no 10 overall spot (out of 30 teams). According to Joey Matschulat, "The Rangers fell hard on Opening Night, but stole the overnight headlines, reportedly nearing an eight-year deal worth as much as $120 million with Elvis Andrus that will keep him in Texas almost into the next decade."
The Rangers currently have two wins and one loss against the Houston Astros.
Rangers' pitcher Yu Darvish almost pitched a perfect game on Opening Day, but allowed Astros' Marwin Gonzalez a 1B hit with 2 outs in the 9th inning.
