This weekend's Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice has been getting very lackluster reviews since critics began watching it, and it seems everyone's forgotten that its actors have feelings too. In a recent interview also featuring Henry Cavill, Batman actor Ben Affleck looks sad and glum when told the movie's been received badly -- and of course, the video is now a meme.
Shortly after the poor reviews started pouring in, both Affleck and Cavil talked to Tom Butler from Yahoo! Movies about whether the critics' perspective on the film would ultimately damage its box office. Cavill, who reprises his role from Man of Steel in the Easter weekend release, eloquently answered that it would be the fans, and not the critics, who'd decide the fate of the movie,
"[The fans] are the ones who are buying tickets, they're the ones who want to see more of this kind of story or not and so the audience's voice is loudest and after this weekend the audience, at least partly, will have spoken," said Cavill.
Still, it wasn't necessarily Clark Kent's response that caught all the attention during the interview.
Sitting next to Cavill was Affleck, who looked positively miserable when his co-star spoke. YouTuber Sabconth noticed Affleck's gloomy face and proceeded to edit the clip to focus on the Argo director's reaction, completely muting out Cavill's answer: to the music of Simon and Garfunkel's "The Sounds of Silence," the latest actor to play Bruce Wayne looks about to burst into tears in a clip that's both the saddest thing you'll ever seen and the biggest Schadenfreude experience you'll have all weekend.
Could Affleck be thinking this is 2004's Daredevil all over again? Does he want to go run to the Batcave and have Alfred console him?
Of course, the edit went viral and over 1.4 million people have already seen it on YouTube in the day since it was first posted.
Whatever you might think of Zack Snyder's Batman v Superman, one thing is clear: it's given us a hilarious meme.
In "One Piece" Chapter 860, Katakuri will likely ruin Big Mom's assasination plot. Moreover, it will also feature Jinbei put his life on the line to save Luffy.
If there’s one thing that really stood out in “Jurassic World” and left a lasting impression on viewers are Bryce Dallas Howard’s character’s shoes throughout the film.
