Fast and Furious 8 is all set to be released in America on April 14, 2017. Aafter the death of Paul Walker, could the rumors be true that that Lucas Black, who had a cameo in Furious 7 will join the cast in a prominent role? If recent updates are to be believed, then Black will be joining the cast as Walker's replacement and will become Vin Diesel's partner.
In Jan. 2014, Times reported that after the death of Walker, Universal Pictures decided that Walker's character, Brian O'Conner would be retiring from the action series instead of being killed. As reported by Deadline, post-Walker's death, the team had to use Peter Jackson's Weta Digital technology to re-create and superimpose Walker's brothers Cody and Caleb's face onto him.
It was earlier reported by MStars News that "Baby" singer, Justin Bieber will be joining the ensemble cast of Fast 8. There were reports that he will either beplaying the role of Diesel's character, Dominic Toretto's new companion on the road or he will serve as Black's character, Sean Boswell's partner. But now from the recent reports, it looks like Black's role in the film will be inclined towards Diesel's character.
According to film's official IMDB page, Black has been listed as a prominent character and not just as a cameo which he had in Fast 7 where he only appears in one scene to discuss with Toretto Han's (played by Sung Kang) death. A report from Cinema Blend hints that Black will reprise his role of Boswell in Fast 8 and Fast 9 but there is no confirmation of his role in future series. We can only speculate that he might get killed off by the end of Fast 9.
Now, if Black will become Diesel's partner in Fast 8 and Fast 9, then it might not be a simple task for him if fans of Walker and the action series will not take this lightly. However, based on the previous avatar in Tokyo Drift, it looks like he is the right man for the job.© 2019 Mstars News, All rights reserved. Do not reproduce without permission.
