Fast and Furious 8 is all set to be released in North America on April 14, 2017. After the death of Paul Walker, there was a little delay in the casting but now it looks like the filming will soon be finished as the production team is in Cleveland to shoot the action thriller franchise.
It was earlier reported that the filming of Fast and Furious 8 or Fast 8 will take place both in Atlanta and New York City as well the team will head to some international locations like Russia and Iceland. Earlier this year, it was announced by Variety that the Universal Pictures sought an approval from the Cuban government to shoot the film in Cuba. this would make it the first film to be shot in the large Caribbean Island for about 50 years.
Now according to Cleveland.com, the will also be shot in Ohio, with the production of the film possible to start in mid-April. Although the locals from Ohio's major city, Cleveland should not expect to see Dwayne Johnson and Vin Diesel in their city anytime soon, as they will head to the city during their second schedule. The Greater Cleveland Film Commission posted a notice that the Universal Pictures is looking for local crew members and vendors for the shoot of Fast 8.
Along with Diesel and Johnson, Fast 8 will feature the ensemble cast of Jason Statham, Tyrese Gibson and Ludacris. Screen Rant reports that Charlize Theron is also in talks to star in the film as the main villain. Fast 8 will also mark the start of a new trilogy of Fast and Furious will also mark the start of a new trilogy of Fast and Furious series. According to Screen Rush, Dom Toretto and his crew will become undercover spies in the upcoming feature films.
