The summer is almost here, and that means it's time for blockbusters to reach theaters -- and it also means Fox's second superhero film of the year, the big mutant event X-Men: Apocalypse, is nearing its release date. In a new clip narrated by George Takei, the studio has risen doubts about En Sabah Nur, the first (and scariest) mutant, played by Oscar Isaac -- and there's a conspiracy going on!
Ahead of this film's premiere, Fox is setting up a campaign to entice viewers to watch the film by introducing the mega-villain and making him the target of a conspiracy theory. In the clip, the original Star Trek actor reveals that, a decade after the world became aware of mutants, the secrets of the first one to appear on Earth have been unveiled.
The clip entitled "In the Footsteps of... En Sabah Nur" was posted on Fox's YouTube last Monday, reveals ancient drawings and depictions of Apocalypse. To follow up on the conspiracy, Fox also created a website of the "Ages of Apocalypse," namely when the powerful mutant has woken from his slumber, adding that "when he rises, civilizations fall."
Past times that have seen Apocalypse back in full force have been as follows: the First Dynasty of Egypt, the biblical cities of Sodom and Gomorrah, the fall of the Minoan and Mycenaean civilizations, the 430 BC plague in Athens, the burning of Rome, the eruption of Mount Vesuvius and destruction of Pompeii and finally the collapse of the Mayan civilization. The mutant has a lot of blood in his mighty hands.
Aside from the new conspiracy video, there's another X-Men: Apocalypse tie-in -- though the other one's actually an ad for UK broadband service Sky Fibre. On it, superspeedy mutant Quicksilver (Evan Peters) is trying to impress a date by getting her videos to stream faster by over-complicating things. The ad also features Kodi Smith-McPhee's Nightcrawler, Tye Sheridan's Cyclops and Alexandra Shipp's Storm.
X-Men: Apocalypse will reach cinemas on May 27.
Hollywood star Angelina Jolie and her currently estranged husband Brad Pitt reportedly offered to help catch the notorious criminal Joseph Kony.

Netflix' "Luke Cage" will get another MCU hero, as Power Man's longtime friend and partner Iron Fist hints a comeback team-up. "Luke Cage" Season Two will air on 2018 and the "duo" seems to be on a plan for a future organization like before.
