After a successful comeback in the series Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Ghost Rider may be getting a solo outing. Gabriel Luna, the actor who plays the new incarnation of the anti-hero, confirms that Marvel may look into a Ghost Rider series on Netflix.

In an interview with Comicbook, Luna shares that Ghost Rider headlining his own show on Netfilx, or even having a reboot film is at the works. According to him, there are already talks at Marvel Studios regarding the path that they would take on the character.

Regarding his plans with the Rider, he states that he is having fun playing the part, and just wants to get each and every episode he's in, no matter how many, his best.

The sixth episode of this ABC spin-off's fourth season revealed the backstory of Robbie Reyes (played by Luna), particularly on how he became the new Ghost Rider. Apparently, he got his powers by "selling his soul to the devil." In Ghost Rider terms, it means a previous Rider gave it to him, and it was to save his life. Yet the question arises: who is this "previous Rider?"

Parent Herald points out that the bullet hole that can be seen above Ghost Rider's left eye and the motorbike may indicate that "the Good Samaritan" could be Johnny Blaze, there is no certainty as of yet. Blaze, which was brought to life by Nicholas Cage in two big-screen adaptations, had a wound at the same spot in the movie Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance. Whether or not Cage will be reprising his role is still up in the air, however, as no word has been given by either Marvel or Cage.

In the comics, Robbie Reyes is the most recent incarnation of the Rider, whose powers were given to him by Johnny Blaze. The Ghost Rider persona usually has a body of a regular human, save for a flaming skull, and wields chains with knives or sickles in the end. Some like Blaze, use a shotgun that shoots hellfire. Most notable abilities of the anti-hero were his ethereal body (wherein he is not affected by most physical attacks) and the Penance Stare, which lets the victim experience all the pain they have ever caused.
