"Jurassic World 2" is still a year away and it hasn't started production yet. It will begin this February, and it seems that the franchise is going to be bigger and darker. Bryce Dallas Howard, who stars as Claire in "Jurassic World", hinted that her character will be very different in the sequel.
Bryce Dallas Howard has dinosaurs on her mind
Bryce Dallas Howard couldn't keep her next project out of her mind. The actress is currently promoting her film, "Gold", in which she stars opposite Matthew McConaughey as his girlfriend. The story revolves around the couple trudging through the Indonesian jungle looking for gold. The media couldn't help asking the 35-year-old actress about the highly-anticipated "Jurassic World 2".
The "Pete's Dragon" actress told Entertainment Tonight that she was always thinking about the sequel film, since production will begin next month. She also shed some light on what the new Claire would be like. There hasn't been a definite plot released to the public yet, although Colin Trevorrow, who will co-write the script, said he wanted to expand the franchise to bigger things, away from theme parks and isolated islands.
"Jurassic World 2" will definitely be seeing more greedy companies vying for a chance to weaponize dinosaurs. What is Claire's role in all this? The producers and actors have kept their lips closed, but last December, Trevorrow sent Howard Twitter photos on different kinds of boots. Fans got excited, since Claire was running in heels in the 2015 film. The film ended with the theme park destroyed and the CEO dead after crashing his helicopter into a cage full of Pteranodons. Claire might have found a new calling in the next film.
Viewers will see a largely changed Claire in "Jurassic World 2"
Owen's (Chris Pratt) experience training dinosaurs to work with humans will come in handy when they encounter other organizations similar to InGen. Claire, meanwhile, is well-acquainted with the dinosaur genome. When the director pitched Howard the script for the sequel, she was surprised. Accordingly, the film will explore new territory, something the characters and viewers have yet to see in the "Jurassic Park" franchise.
Howard said that, given the chance, she wouldn't wear heels in "Jurassic World 2". Given the hint about boots, Claire could very well be working with Owen as a trainer, ranger, or dinosaur expert. The actress also told Jo Blo that the events of "Jurassic World" had shaken and changed Claire.
"But she is who she is," Dallas continued. This hints at Claire and Owen's relationship. The two are such polar opposites and there's a chance their personal conflicts will affect the new dinosaur problem. The "Jurassic World 2" release date is June 22, 2018.© 2017 Mstars News, All rights reserved. Do not reproduce without permission.
