Returning from a midseason break, 'Lucifer' Season 2 airs the twelfth episode titled "Love Handles". The episode premieres Lucifer (Tom Ellis) and Chloe (Lauren German) investigating a mass poisoning of college students, with the criminal's identity still unknown due to the face cover. The duo (Lucifer and Chloe), try to make sure of their relationship after their kiss from the previous episode. According to Blasting News, a spoiler review site, that Charlotte, Lucifer's mother, will pay a visit to Linda and asks for an advice. As what Lucifer noticed from Chloe's behavior, he visits his mother and talked about their kiss though he's still unsure for Chloe's feelings for him.

A scene from the Episode 11, titled "Stewardess Interruptus" showed that Charlotte convinced Chloe to have a relationship with her son. Revealing her motive, Charlotte has seen in Chloe that there could be a chance that her son can be brought back to hell.

Aside from all of those big events, Charlotte talked with Maze in the upcoming episode that God is using Chloe to cross Lucifer's path. In the next upcoming episodes, a fight between Maze and Lucifer will be shown as cited in an article on Flickering Myth.
