Xiaomi Mi 5c is ready to kick off in the smartphone industry with its next flagship, Mi 5c, which is a cheaper version of Mi 5s. The next Mi 5 series has already taken over the spotlight from its predecessor as it gets 3C Certification in China that gives Android geeks a glimpse of the device's specifications. Given the fact that Mi 5c has received 3C Certification, fans can expect that Xiaomi will release this series not far from now.

The leaked specifications reveal that Xiaomi Mi 5c will carry Snapdragon 625 64-bit-octa-core processor, which is also Qualcomm's mid-range-chip. Mi 5c will be powered by 3,200 mAh battery power and a 5V/2A charger that couldn't promise fast-charging feature but at least user can expect a solid battery life out of it. According to Android Headlines, Xiaomi Mi 5c, which is also known as Xiaomi Meri, will offer 4G LTE connectivity with a 5.5 inch full HD display. The smartphone that is expected to be a direct successor to the Xiaomi Mi 5c will also pack a 3GB of RAM along with 64GB internal storage.

Just like the 5s, Mi 5c will come with a metal back only it doesn't include brushed finish, as reported by GSM Arena. The Mi 5c will be just as dashing and attractive with more affordable price than its other version. As for the camera department, Xiaomi Mi 5c can give a lot to expect from a 12-megapixel main camera, and 8-megapixel front camera although the image quality may depend on what sensors Xiaomi uses. Android Marshmallow or Nougat will come pre-installed on the device along with MIUI 8 OS.

Xiaomi Mi 5c will be released soon in the near future. The company is also expected to launch Xiaomi Mi 6 flagship in the next couple of months, although Mi 5c may release ahead of Mi 6. Xiaomi Mi 5c is reported to launch in March or April. It's also possible that the company will launch Mi 5c at Mobile World Congress (MWC) this February.
