Jennifer Aniston said that yoga is a large part of the reason that she is able to maintain her sexy, slim figure.
Aniston and her yoga instructor, Mandy Ingber, attended a Self Magazine book party on Tuesday to celebrate Ingber's new book, "Yogalosophy: 28 Days to the Ultimate Body Makeover," at Soho House in West Hollywood, according to the LA Times.
Aniston, 43, and Ingber met 22 years ago and have been 'fitness friends' ever since, according to People Magazine. "We were a lot rounder," Aniston reflected at the book party. "We ate terribly. We did that, and then we sort of grew up a little bit more and we got jobs."
Aniston said that she used feel uncomfortable about herself but she was able to find confidence through yoga, according to People. "That was always my 'ugh', my legs," Aniston explained. "That's why I credit [Mandy Ingber] for [them] - with yoga."
Ingber told People that she had witnessed Aniston's transformation throughout the duration of their friendship. "It's hard to say is that yoga or is it as we get older we grow into ourselves, but I've seen her become so empowered, so grounded in herself, so comfortable in her own skin," she said. "I've definitely watched that process happen and unfold, and I'm grateful that I've gotten to be the observer of that."
Aniston has said in the past that she practices yoga with Ingber at least three times a week, according to Daily Mail. "Yoga strengthens my muscles and gives me a great sense of peace and calm. It also improves my breathing and centers me," she said in an interview in 2010. "I usually follow yoga with about 40 minutes of card - hiking, running or at the gym."
She also gave some advice to beginners who are just getting started with yoga, according to the LA Times. "Love the body that you have right now because that's the perfect body and then be patient with yourself," she said. "When you first start you might feel like 'I can't do this, it hurts,' and then be patient. Do little bits and you get there. You do, it's all about being really gentle with yourself and acceptance of what it is at the moment."
Although Aniston is very dedicated to living a healthy lifestyle, she admits that she will cheat every now and again, according to People. "Cheat days for me are usually ... it's either Mexican food ... maybe Italian pasta, but I think you always have to do it in moderation," she said.
Ingber has also helped other celebrities maintain healthy lifestyles and enviable figures including, Kate Beckinsale, Brooke Shields and Helen Hunt, according to People. Her new book, "Yogalosophy: 28 Days to the Ultimate Body Makeover," will be available on May 6.
Aniston reunited with Friends co-star, Courteney Cox at the event and they answered questions about the recent rumors of a Friends reunion in the works. "I mean we gotta get a writer first," Cox explained, according to E online. "And when I say that, I mean one of our writers. We had amazing writers on Friends, our creators of the show, you know, it would be up to them."
It is also rumored that Aniston is preparing for a summer wedding with fiance, Justin Theroux. "Yoga kind of helps you prepare for everything, honestly," she told E! News. "It's like meditation. It sort of just allows anything that's coming at you at the end of the day to be kind of doable."© 2017 Mstars News, All rights reserved. Do not reproduce without permission.
