OnePlus 5 is rumored to be setting its way up in the world of Technologies this 2017. Another China-based OEM who just started 3 years ago with the highly anticipated OnePlus One and was touted as "2014 Flagship Killer" will be working on the successor of the OnePlus3T and OnePlus 3 smartphones.
The successor of the OnePlus 3 is OnePlus 5, hence, it is skipping OnePlus 4. It is believed that the numeric 4 is an unlucky number in China, TechTimes reported. Moreover, like the company's first-ever smartphone to feature a ceramic body, OnePlus X, the OnePlus 5 might also feature a similar material. According to Phone Radar, the company chooses a ceramic material because metal-build smartphones are bad conductors for 5G signals.
OnePlus 5 will be running on Android 7.0 Nougat by the time it will be launched. The OnePlus 5 is believed to be sporting a 5.5-inch QHD AMOLED display, with Snapdragon 835 processor and 6 GB of RAM.
The current trend of smartphones having dual cameras gradually increases, which is why OnePlus 5 is rumored to have this concept. The new smartphone will feature a 16 Megapixel and a 12 Megapixel sensor including a dual LED flash in between. Aside from that, a storage memory of either 64GB or 128GB to choose with an expandable memory up to 256GB. The battery, however, is imagined to be offering 4,000mAh.
