Apple users have long awaited the launch of the new iPad mini 5. It's been over two years since the Cupertino tech-giant last introduced a new iPad with any prominent design changes. Just as fans were eagerly waiting for the announcement of the upcoming device, Apple announced that they will be holding a special announcement event sometime in March.
As reported by Mac World, Apple is expected to launch a new version of iPhone SE and Apple Pencil 2 along with the new iPad Mini 2 next month. Apart from that, there are rumours that suggest that the upcoming iPad range will be updated.
Not only will the design be updated, but as Japanese website Mac Otakara claimed, the device won't be called iPad Mini but the new iPad Pro mini. The device will further come equipped with a slot for a smart connector, a true-tone display, four separate speakers and a 12MP rear came with iSight technology.
As far as the Apple Pencil 2 is concerned, The Mac Observer reported that it will represent a slight resemblance to other similar products in the market at the moment. Moreover, it will come with a magnet that can easily be attached to the sides of the iPad Pro.Apple launched the iPad Pro on March, 31, last year. So it's been safely assumed that this year's event too, like last year will be taking place at around that time.
There's, however, a catch in this. It has been speculated that this time the devices won't be entering mass production. In other words, the supply will be limited in terms of quantity. That is a practical decision, as depending on the response to the newly introduced devices, Apple will be able to take a better decision in terms of whether they should get their product relaunched or not.
