One Direction's Niall Horan attracted some attention last weekend when he deleted a seemingly harmless tweet about the Oscars 2017. At the same time, fans of Louis Tomlinson got pretty excited when the Oscars gave him a special recognition during the airing of the after party.

Everyone was waiting for the highly anticipated 89th Academy Awards last Sunday and so was One Direction's, Niall Horan. It was clear that Horan was following all the latest updates from the Oscars 2017, as he tweeted out an array of tweets congratulating a number of victors.

Among the posts was a shout out to Casey Affleck, famous actor Ben Affleck's little brother, who got nominated for and subsequently won Best Leading Actor, for the movie "Manchester By The Sea". "Delighted for Casey Affleck. Went to see 'Manchester By The Sea' a few weeks ago and he was absolutely phenomenal," Horan from One Direction, wrote in a post, Unreality TV reported.

However, before most of his fans could notice the tweet, the "This Town" singer deleted his tweet. Since the tweet hardly mentioned anything controversial, it is anyone's guess as to why One Direction's Horan decided to wipe out the post from his Twitter account. He has not commented on his decision to delete the tweet yet.

On the other hand, another One Direction member, Louis Tomlinson has a proud moment when a fan of his pointed out over the social media that his single "Just Hold On" was played during the Oscars 2017 after party broadcast on channels across the globe. Tomlinson needed this incredible boost after having a devastating last year. It has been hard on him after he lost his mother to leukemia on Dec. 7, 2016, Mail Online reported.

Did Niall Horan have a reason for deleting the tweet about Casey Affleck? Will Louis Tomlinson follow Zayn's example and separate from One Direction to have his own solo career?
