It appears that "One Piece" episode 780 will finally usher in a new arc to the anime series' storyline that is said to be original to the anime version only. While the new arc is not found in the manga version, fans may expect the transition to be smooth as the storyline will pick up from where "One Piece" episode 779 left off.
Previously, the Sanji extraction team lead by Luffy ran into some problems, now that Sanji is longer around to man the ship's kitchen, as shown in Kiss Anime. Apparently, not only was Sanji a good cook, he was also responsible in budgeting and making sure that their provisions last. Without Sanji, the Straw Hats ran out of food, which will force them to employ drastic measures in the coming "One Piece" episode 780.
Luffy decided to be in charge of the kitchen, a move that prove to be disastrous. In just one day, he managed to consume all their food and ingredients just cooking one recipe because he had to make several trials, being not used to cooking. Even with the numerous attempts, his last dish did not turn out as tasty as he hoped for. With no food, the Straw Hat Pirates will face the risk of dying of starvation in the coming "One Piece" episode 780.
Thankfully, "One Piece" spoilers hint that the resourceful crew will run into a possible solution in episode 780. However, getting supplies to replenish their ship's stock could prove tricky as it seems to involve some form of stealing.
Apparently, Luffy will need to infiltrate a Marine base in "One Piece" episode 780 to get the supplies the need for their mission, AnimeNewsNetwork reported. However, the operation may not go as planned as they will be found out by three rookie members of the Marines and fighting is likely to ensue.
Incidentally, it appears that "One Piece" episode 780 will start a new arc for the anime series. It is said to be a brand new storyline that has not been shown in the manga episodes.
