Nokia 6 that was announced last year marked a major comeback for Nokia in the smartphone market. It is one of the first devices to work on Android launched by the company. Another contender comes from BlackBerry which is also a new player in the Android industry.

Nokia 6 and BlackBerry DTEK60 are the devices from the companies who have recently adopted Android as their preferred OS. These devices offer mid-range specifications at a decent price. Since the screen sizes of these smartphones are same, customers have an option of purchasing either of the two.

The BlackBerry DTEK60 was released in October 2016 while the Nokia 6 was announced in January at CES 2017. The BlackBerry device runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow while the Nokia 6 comes with Android 7.1 Nougat. Both the devices have a 3000 mAh battery and support fast charging, reported GSMArena.

The hardware specifications of both the phones differ largely. Nokia 6 uses an IPS LCD with full HD resolution while the BlackBerry DTEK60 has an AMOLED display with 1440 x 2560 pixels resolution. The Nokia 6 display uses Corning Gorilla Glass 3 for its protection while the BlackBerry uses a scratch resistant glass from an unknown manufacturer.

Nokia 6 is powered by a mid-range Snapdragon 430 CPU and the BlackBerry DTEK60 uses Snapdragon 820 SOC. Nokia 6 comes in two versions - 32GB internal memory with 3GB RAM and 64GB internal memory with 4GB RAM. DTEK60 comes with 32GB internal memory and 4GB RAM and its storage can be expanded via a dedicated microSD card slot, reported AndroidAuthority.

Nokia 6 is equipped with a 16MP camera with large 1.0 µm pixel size. The camera is capable of recording full HD videos at 30fps and the 8MP front camera can also record 1080p videos. The BlackBerry DTEK60 has a high-resolution 21MP camera that can record 4K videos at 30fps. The slow motion videos (120fps) are recorded at 720p resolution. The DTEK60 has an 8MP front camera that can record full HD videos.

Both the devices have a fingerprint sensor - Nokia 6 has a front mounted sensor while the BlackBerry DTEK60 equips a rear mounted sensor. The Nokia 6 is targeted at mid-range consumers while the BlackBerry aims for a premium market.
