Justin Bieber has had a long complicated history with different ladies. The "What Do You Mean" singer was previously involved with Sofia Richie, daughter of singer Lionel Richie. The relationship didn't last long, but it appears Bieber may be setting out to rekindle the romance.
It appears that Bieber has no issues with flirting publicly. He left a comment on a photo Richie posted on Instagram, saying "[You're] so pretty." The photo was from Richie's recent shoot with Flaunt magazine, Perez Hilton reported. Bieber's comment came as a huge surprise to fans, especially since it was Bieber who called off their relationship, citing that he was not ready to be in a serious relationship.
Bieber and Richie's short-live relationship was not without controversy. At the time the couple was together, Bieber exchanged heated messages with his ex Selena Gomez on Instagram when Bieber threatened to close his Instagram account if fans would continue to hate on Richie. Gomez came to the fans' defense, saying Bieber shouldn't be targeting especially since they've been supportive of him throughout the years.
The couple celebrated Richie's 18th birthday in Mexico, and also traveled to Japan together. "We have a special relationship. Justin is very easy to talk to, and that's hard to find with people in Los Angeles," Richie said about Bieber during an interview. Shortly after their break, Bieber and Richie moved on and started seeing other people.
Meanwhile, Bieber is currently facing massive criticism after snubbing his Australian fans. According to New Zealand Herald, Bieber told one fan, "You're invading my privacy, I don't want a photo. Look at you, you make me sick." The fan, identified as 20-year-old Sabah Helal, cried after the incident. Her mother explained that she was excited to meet the singer, but was humiliated by what he did.
However, Bieber, who's in Australia as part of his Purpose World Tour, appears to be unfazed by the backlash. He continued to post photos of him spending time around Australia, including one photo that featured actress Georgia Jennings.
