Developing a Jailbreak tool for Apple's iOS software is a hard job, especially after the release of iOS 10.3 which features Apple's new File System APFS. Luca Todesco has retired from Jailbreaking and decided to play on Nintendo Switch. Luckily, Pangu has not lost their grip after the release of an unofficial 10.3 tool.
Pangu Jailbreak released a new and unofficial Jailbreaking tool for iOS 10.3 in Beta. Unlike the Yalu tools, this Pangu Jailbreak Tool is tethered. There is a catch, however, as Cydia Impactor is not stable. It is said that this tool will be released as a Semi-tethered Jailbreak. It is compatible with all 64bit devices except all iPhone 7 and iPhone 6 devices. The iPad product line is also unlucky as most of the iPad devices.
There is also the alternative Yalu103, a semi-tethered Jailbreak tool that only works on 64-bit iOS devices. Like the Pangu's unofficial tool, this Jailbreak tool will not work in iPhone 7 and iPad Pro. This tool is currently the recommended method for now. Unfortunately, this Yalu Jailbreak tool seems to be the last of its kind, as the developer of the tool, Luca Todesco, is joining Apple's Bug Bounty Program after its development of iOS 10.3 jailbreak, according to Cydia Plus.
As for the Italian Hacker, Todesco seems to fancy the Nintendo Switch. He stated on one of his Twitter posts that he is really liking the open research about the Switch. The hacker also said that it is a fresh air after the secretive nature of the iOS. He recently retweeted a post from Giuseppe 'N3mes1s' which contains a code from the Nintendo Switch. Todesco also recently hacked the Nintendo Switch by using Apple WebKit Bug on Switch. It is said that Todesco successfully Jailbroken the Switch, but the hacker denied the statement and has said that his attacks have not been severe.
