Dominic Toretto goes rogue in "The Fate of the Furious" as he turns his back on family. The recent trailer for the film gives a hint why he betrays the team he has called family.
In a surprising twist, Toretto (Vin Diesel) turns to the dark side in "The Fate of the Furious." The initial trailer for the movie did not reveal why he has gone rogue, although it shows that Charlize Theron's Cipher is responsible. She now controls Toretto and for what reasons remains unclear.
However, the latest trailer for "The Fate of the Furious" hints that Toretto did not willingly turn to the dark side. Instead, he is forced to turn evil. The trailer shows Cipher telling Toretto, "I think I need to remind you why you chose to be here." At some point in the trailer, Toretto also tells someone that he "has no choice."
According to Comicbook, Toretto's admission hints that he was coerced to work with Cipher in "The Fate of the Furious." However, the reasons remain unknown. Perhaps the terrorist threatened to kill his teammates if he refuses to cooperate with her demands. Cipher clearly has an advantage over Toretto so she probably has something vital of his.
Likewise, according to Screenrant, it is likely that Toretto's decision to betray his family has something to do with the Shaw family. Cipher could be a member of the family and she is out to get her revenge. There is also the likely possibility that Helen Mirren's unidentified character is the matriarch of the Shaw clan. In the end, "The Fate of the Furious" keeps to the franchise's theme about family.
"The Fate of the Furious" takes off following the events in Part 7. Letty (Michelle Rodriguez) has regained her memories and back with Toretto. Meanwhile, the rest of the team has also moved on to live normal lives. However, Cipher seduces Toretto to a world of crime, which he cannot escape. His family must risk their lives to bring him back or lose him forever.© 2019 Mstars News, All rights reserved. Do not reproduce without permission.
