Mariah Carey fired manager and fellow American Idol judge Randy Jackson.
The superstar has ditched the Jackson who helped her launch her career and co-write and produce her music. This is a major blow to Jackson after sources are saying that the whole panel well be fired after this season because Simon Cowell wants a panel with more "chemistry."
According to NY Daily News, ratings for the show dropped 25%. Carey's husband, Nick Cannon admitted that his wife wouldn't be returning on American Idol, "Whatever happens with that show, I think she's had a great time. But she's a global superstar. I don't think she's ever in need of a job," Cannon told Access Hollywood recently. "She made a decision to do that show because she really wanted to connect with the contestants. I don't think she's thinking about the future of it."
With the drama with Nicki Minaj this season, the singer wants out according to a Fox News source, "Mariah doesn't want to come back. Nicki is really disrespecting her, and she's tired of trying to bite her tongue all the time."
Jennifer Lopez was rumored to be considering returning to the show, but Idol producer Nigel Lythgoe said the rumor were false, "I have not been included in any conversation regarding replacing Mariah with Jen this season."
