Harry Styles revealed the release date of his solo album recently. The former One Direction singer also unveiled the list of songs.
Styles took to his Instagram page on Thursday to announce that the release date of his solo album will be on May 12. The singer also revealed the track list. The self-titled album consists of ten songs, including his first single "Sign of the Times," which came out on April 17.
The other songs in "Harry Styles" include "Meet Me in the Hallway," "Carolina," "Only Angel," "Ever Since New York," "From the Dining Table," "Woman," "Sweet Creature," "Kiwi" and "Two Ghosts." The singer also shared a couple of photos from his solo album artwork. One shows him submerged in a bathtub surrounded by pink petals. The other image shows the singer on the same tub, but this time he has his naked back to the camera.
According to Rolling Stone, "Harry Styles" comes in two formats. Fans can purchase it on white vinyl from the singer's website. Styles' solo album is also available as a limited edition CD, which comes with a 34-page photo book that highlights the singer's recording process.
Styles recently admitted that appearing in Christopher Nolan's film "Dunkirk" helped him create the songs for his solo album. The 23-year old credited the movie for the inspiration to write the tracks in "Harry Styles." "It gave me a chance to completely step away from it for a bit and have a real break. By the end of the movie--because we were swimming so much--I just wanted to write songs," Styles said as quoted by E! News.
Ahead of the release of his solo album, the singer will be on "Saturday Night Live" this weekend to promote "Harry Styles." He will also perform his first single "Sign of the Times." It will be Styles' first solo TV appearance after breaking away from One Direction.
