Steve Harvey admitted that the memo which was sent to his entire staff was real. The Miss Universe host was not sorry for his new rule and will not apologize for it.
According to reports, Steve Harvey sent his staff a memo that reads "Do not approach me." He also asked his staff not to ambush him in the hallways. Kevin Frazier of Entertainment Tonight had an exclusive interview with the "Miss Universe" host clarifying his reactions about the leaked memo.
"Look man, I'm in my makeup chair, they walk in the room. I'm having lunch, they walk in, they don't knock," he told ET. "I'm in the hallway; I'm getting ambushed by people with friends that come to the show and having me sign this and do this. I just said, 'Wait a minute.' And in hindsight, I probably should've handled it a little bit differently."
According to the TV personality, he couldn't find a way to walk from the stage to his dressing room to sit in his makeup chair or to walk from his dressing room to the stage and just to sit in and eat without anyone disturbing him. Steve Harvey used to have this rule where anyone could come and talk to him, but there are just people who take advantage of his good personality.
He said when you go out from your house you don't someone waiting for you outside. When you walk to your car you don't want random people to come to your way because everyone wants to have freedom and to be able to move and do things freely.
People and fans should understand and be sensitive to what a person feels and this time Steve Harvey who is a good man and is known for his very approachable attitude that makes staff feel comfortable can't ease the bothering anymore. That urges him to send the leaked memo.
However, Steve Harvey's new rule does not sit well with everyone. According to Vibe, there's a new petition calling to boycott his show due to the leaked strict email.
