Katy Perry finally opened up about her long-standing feud with Taylor Swift during an episode of "Carpool Karaoke" with James Corden. The singer revealed the reason for their beef and admitted that she wants it to end.
Katy Perry dished some details about her feud with Taylor Swift during an extended "Primetime Carpool Karaoke Special" on Monday night. She opened up about everything to the show host, especially on the reason for the beef.
The "Roar" singer said that it started because of her three backup dancers. They had asked to perform at Taylor Swift's tour at that time when Perry was on break. Perry allowed them, but advised that they let Swift's management know that when the time comes that she goes on tour, they would join her again.
That time eventually came and the dancers approached Taylor Swift's management. However, instead of being allowed to leave graciously, they were fired. Katy Perry said that she tried to talk to Swift about the problem, but she was "shut down." Next thing she knew, Swift had written a song about her in "Bad Blood," which according to the Huffington Post, is about a singer "who basically tried to sabotage an entire arena tour."
However, Katy Perry told Corden that she wants the feud to end. She is 100 percent committed to patch things up with Taylor Swift although she said that Swift started the beef. "What I want to say is that I'm ready for that B.S. to be done," she said.
According to the Business Insider, Taylor Swift and Katy Perry's feud came back in the public eye because of the latter's new song "Swish Swish." Fans speculate that the song is about Swift and inspired by Perry's beef with her.
Of course, Katy Perry did not confirm this speculation. However, she hinted at it when she said that the lyrics make perfect sense. Meanwhile, Corden assured the singer that he is going to get down to the bottom of her feud with Taylor Swift. Perhaps he plans to become a mediator between the two singers.© 2019 Mstars News, All rights reserved. Do not reproduce without permission.
