Taylor Swift broke her social media silence on Monday to respond to the Manchester bombing. Coincidentally, Katy Perry dished details on her long-standing feud with the singer during Monday night's episode of "Carpool Karaoke."
Taylor Swift took to her Twitter account after a long absence from social media to express her sadness at the tragic Manchester bombing. "My thoughts, prayers and tears for all those affected by the Manchester tragedy tonight. I'm sending all my love," Swift wrote.
This is the first time that Taylor Swift took to social media after more than three months of hiatus. The last time the "Blank Space" singer shared something on her Twitter was on Jan. 30. She had promoted "I Don't Wanna Live Forever," a song she sang with Zayn Malik as part of the "Fifty Shades Darker" soundtrack. Since then the singer has been silent on social media.
According to 69 News, the Manchester bombing greatly affected Taylor. The tragedy struck close to home since she is a Berks County native. ISIS has reportedly taken responsibility for the attack, which has taken 22 lives and left 50 injured.
Coincidentally, Katy Perry also broke her silence on her long-standing feud with Taylor Swift on Monday night, according to Time. The "Roar" singer revealed the reason for their beef with "Carpool Karaoke" host James Corden. She said Swift started the feud since she refused to talk to her to resolve the problem. Perry revealed that their beef started because Swift's management fired her three backup dancers (see video below for details).
Regardless, Perry said that she wants to put their feud behind. "I think personally that women together, not divided, and none of this petty bulls-t, women together will heal the world," she said. Taylor Swift has yet to respond to Perry's revelation about their "Bad Blood."© 2019 Mstars News, All rights reserved. Do not reproduce without permission.
