Fans have not seen the last of Lee Ryan in "EastEnders" as he has been asked to return to the show. The Blue singer confirmed his return as Harry "Woody" Woodward in a recent interview.
Ryan has secured a deal with the producers to remain on the show for at least a year. His performance in "EastEnders" impressed the producers and fans that he was given another chance to reprise Woody. Show creator Sean O'Connor said that Ryan returns to the series later this year. "I knew from the moment Lee auditioned that he would be perfect for EastEnders and we are all thrilled that the audience fell in love with Woody as much as we did," O'Connor said as quoted by Mirror.
As to what his return means to "EastEnders," O'Connor hinted that Ryan's Woody is bound to create more problems for the Carter family. He will "undoubtedly cause a stir," he said. Of course, he did not give details, but fans can expect to see worse than what happened on last week's episode.
According to Radio Times, that fiasco on Friday's episode of "EastEnders" would have been the last fans saw of Woody. Mick booted him out of the pub after he saw him in his bed with his daughter-in-law Whitney. However, that did not seem to stop fans from loving the character, which prompted the producers to give Ryan a new contract.
Ryan, on his end, is delighted to return to "EastEnders." He said that it was a dream come true when he landed the role and now he is thrilled that it has turned into something bigger. The actor and singer admitted that it has been a surreal experience to appear on the show and for people on the street to call him Woody. He said that he cannot wait to get back and see what trouble his character will cause this time around.© 2019 Mstars News, All rights reserved. Do not reproduce without permission.
