"Steven Universe" Season 5 may not be the last installment of the Rebecca Sugar series after all. One of the voice actors may have accidentally hinted that Season 6 is in the works.
A report from Entertainment Weekly revealed that Cartoon Network officially confirmed "Steven Universe" Season 5 in March 2016. Since then there have been no updates about its possible renewal. The network has remained mum on whether there is a Season 6 or not. Likewise, creator Rebecca Sugar has not talked about her plans for her show, whether it should go on or not.
Eventually, the silence from both parties prompted fans to think that there may never be a Season 6. According to Korea Portal, fans are worried that "Steven Universe" Season 5 could be the last of the animated series.
However, Deedee Magno Hall, who voices Pearl in "Steven Universe" Season 5, may have hinted otherwise. The actress shared a series of photos taken during a recording session for the series on her Twitter page. "Just another productive day," Hall captioned the shot and tagged a few people including series creator Rebecca Sugar and her fellow casts.
Present in the photos are actors Zach Callison, who voices the titular character and Susan Egan, who voices Rose Quartz. Sugar is also in a couple of the shots. Voice director Kent Osborne is also in another photo. The images may show a normal day in the studio, but one thing stood out in the third photo, which hints that "Steven Universe" Season 5 may not be the last and that Season 6 is in the works.
The third photo with Sugar and Osborne in it has a monitor mounted on the wall. The numbers 609 and 610 are on the screen. Usually, for any TV shows, these digits represent production codes. Could these numbers mean Season 6 Episode 9 and 10? Perhaps "Steven Universe" Season 5 is not the last of the installment after all.
However, only Rebecca Sugar knows if her show will continue after "Steven Universe" Season 5. Fans will just have to wait for any updates whether there is a Season 6.© 2019 Mstars News, All rights reserved. Do not reproduce without permission.
