"Rick and Morty" Season 3 might see the return of Evil Morty. Co-series creator Justin Roiland teased the character's return on social media.
Roiland, who also serves as one of the voice actors, may have given a major "Rick and Morty" Season 3 spoiler in a previous Twitter post. The showrunner shared a concept art that hints at the return of Evil Morty. The art features Rick and three versions of his grandson Morty.
Roiland confirmed that the art is for "Rick and Morty" Season 3 although he did not provide further details about it. It is interesting to point out though that the three Mortys seemingly represent different personalities. The one seated on the ground has that mischievous look on his face, which may remind fans of Evil Morty. The other two Mortys appear harmless enough.
However, the only difference is that this mischievous looking Morty does not have Evil Morty's trademark eye patch. Still, it would be interesting to see the character return in "Rick and Morty" Season 3, especially amid theories that good Morty could turn evil because of Rick.

Speculations are rife that good Morty turns into the Evil Morty because he rebels against his grandfather in “Rick and Morty” Season 3. A report from Den of Geek mentioned that a conflict develops between the titular characters and the catalyst is Beth and Jerry’s divorce. Rick admitted in the premiere episode that it was his plan for Morty’s parents to separate. The teenager did not take his confession kindly.
Meanwhile, Ryan Ridley, one of the show's writers, also hinted at the return of Evil Morty in an interview with Y Combinator. He acknowledged that fans are curious about the return of certain characters and teased that they might just bring Evil Morty back in "Rick and Morty" Season 3.
"The fact that anybody cares about characters that were introduced once in season one, and like intriguing ideas, like the eye-patch Morty, who's the evil Morty, you know, was that character gonna come back? In ['Rick and Morty' Season 3] I think that we stay true to the idea of those, the world is real, there are consequences," Ridley said.© 2017 Mstars News, All rights reserved.
