Good news to Motorola users especially to Moto G4 Plus users who felt utterly disappointed after a list of Motorola smartphones eligible to Android Oreo update has been released. Of course, it is only a miscommunication after the American multinational telecommunications company have already cleared the issue and has apologized for the mistake. Together with some of Moto G units released last year, Moto G4 Plus will get the much anticipated Android O anytime soon.
In a report from NDTV, the Illinois-based company corrected some of their marketing ads and has already included Moto G4 Plus to another upgrade other than the Android Nougat. However, the Lenovo-owned company made it clear that the upgrade may take some time as they have to add it into their upgrade schedule since it seems to be unplanned. Motorola usually allows only one major OS update per unit but because the company has already promised for another update, they are committed to providing their customer's satisfaction.
Just to keep on the safer side of the deal, Motorola will only allow the upgrade of Moto G4 Plus to Android Oreo and not the other models like Moto G4 and Moto G4 Play, GSMArena reports. The erroneous infographics have caused confusion when it previously indicated that Moto G4 devices will get the latest Android update and all the more when they tried to erase the devices. Because of this, Motorola added Moto G4 Plus in the list when in fact it has already undergone one major OS update, which Motorola has now revealed that their devices are restricted to this action only.
In that case, many Moto G users and soon-to-be will have to think twice before buying the latest G5S and G5S Plus. Even so, smartphone users may want to wait for another Android OS update before buying their pricey new phone. Nevertheless, it is marketing strategy and for Motorola, their secret has been quite unintentionally revealed.© 2017 Mstars News, All rights reserved. Do not reproduce without permission.
