Previous reports indicated that former WWE wrestler Jake "The Snake" Roberts could be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame Class of 2014. Whether that happens or not, Roberts will definitely be on WWE television next year.

Roberts conducted an interview with FOX Sports South about Diamond Dallas Page's helping him get healthy and revive his career. In the article, Roberts said that he will participate in the 2014 Royal Rumble next January.

"I'm announcing that right now," Roberts said. "I'll be in the Royal Rumble next year, count on it...I worked too hard in this business to go out that way. So I guess we're going to have to take a victory lap. I'm definitely coming back."

Roberts has struggled with alcoholism and drug use throughout his life and had a strained relationship with his family, as shown in the 1999 documentary Beyond the Mat. He moved in with Page in 2012 to help get his life back on track.

The Royal Rumble match usually features the surprise return of at least one retired or fan-favorite wrestler. In the past several years, The Godfather, Goldust, Chris Jericho, Mick Foley, Jerry Lawler, Michael Cole, "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan, Booker T and Kevin Nash have all competed in the match.

Paul Heyman Taking On Another Client?

WWE.com posted an article discussing the possibility of Paul Heyman's looking for another client after CM Punk disappeared from the WWE. While in reality Punk is simply healing from injuries, the self-proclaimed "Best in the World" simply walked out of the company in the storyline.

Punk and Brock Lesnar are the two "Paul Heyman Guys" on the roster at the moment, but WWE is perpetuating rumors that Heyman is searching for someone to add to his ranks.

It's possible that this article could indicate a surprise turn at the "Extreme Rules" pay-per-view during the steel cage match between Triple H and Brock Lesnar. A third party could interfere in the match and reveal himself as a member of Heyman's crew. Or, the reveal could come in an earlier match, perhaps the WWE championship match between Ryback and John Cena. What better way for a heel Ryback to get even more heat than by joining up with Heyman?
