Garth Brooks was the main attraction at Saturday's Oklahoma Twister Relief Concert, but he was joined by a bunch of big names from the country genre and elsewhere. The event, held at Oklahoma University Stadium in Norman, brought a crowd of more than 60,000 with all funds going to relief for victims of the recent tornadoes in the state.

Brooks, a graduate from Oklahoma University's rival Oklahoma State, joked to the crowd at the stadium.

"It is fantastically hard for me to play here," Brooks said. "I've never played in Norman."

The country star has been playing a series of shows in Las Vegas but agreed to join concert organizer Toby Keith for the performance. Keith is also a native Oklahoman.

Brooks sang hits like "Rodeo," "Two of A Kind," and "Papa Loved Mama." He duetted with his wife, Trisha Yearwood, to the song "In Another's Eyes" before giving her the stage for a few solo performances.

Keith, actually from the town of Norman, thanked the crowd for its support and pledged that the state would get back on its feet.

"Everybody is here for the right reasons," Keith said. "You really have to see the devastation with your own eyes to appreciate how bad it is. It's probably what a war zone looks like."

Among the other guests who played during the day were Ronnie Dunn of the country duo Brooks and Dunn, former Van Halen vocalist Sammy Hagar, and folk icon Willie Nelson. Carrie Underwood phoned in a brief video performance from Nashville.

Money numbers haven't been released as of yet, but Walmart has pledged $1 million on top of whatever the concert raised. Other charity concerts put on by Oklahoma natives, including an earlier show featuring Blake Shelton and Usher and an upcoming concert featuring The Flaming Lips and Kings of Leon, have generated significant contributions.
