In the wee hours of the morning on Aug. 8, photos hit the web of Miley Cyrus, hard at work on her new album 2013 "BANGERZ." In an Instagram photo from "We Can't Stop" producer and "23" rapper Mike WiLL Made It, it was revealed that the former "Hannah Montana" star is in the studio with Nicki Minaj and Pharrell.
In a photo captioned simply "Beauty and a Beast" (referencing, likely, Minaj's collaboration on Justin Bieber's "Believe"), a picture of Cyrus, Mike WiLL and Minaj in the studio implied that the Queen Barbie will be appearing on "BANGERZ." The two pop stars, known for their shared love of twerking, likely have a collaboration in the works for "BANGERZ."
Similarly, a photo of Mike WiLL with Cyrus and Pharrell showed that the busy producer/rapper/singer/hip-hop mastermind is also helping out on "BANGERZ." Though this marks the first time Pharrell has officially worked on a Cyrus track, the two are notably close, referring to each other as "big bro" and "lil sis" on Twitter.
After promoting "We Can't Stop" non-stop at the beginning of the summer, it seems as though recording and putting the finishing touches on "BANGERZ" is Cyrus' main focus. Though not inactive by any means, she apologized on Twitter for her lack of social media-ing.
"#BANGERZ is already trending world wide pshhhhh wait till you hear this shitttttt," Cyrus wrote. "Sorry I ain't tweeting much. Focused on #BANGERZ."
Cyrus revealed the name of her comeback album earlier this week after reaching 13 million followers on Twitter. No official release date has been given for "BANGERZ" and little else is known about the album, but it's expected to be released before the end of the year.
