Ben Affleck will portray Bruce Wayne/Batman in the upcoming Batman vs. Superman, aka Man of Steel 2, in 2015. For the first time, fans may have an update on what his costume will look like in the film.
Comicbookmovie.com posted an exclusive report through an unnamed source about Batman's cowl, which the site describes as similar to the design in Batman: Noel, a 2011 graphic novel based on Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol. The crew reportedly considered designs that looked similar to Batman's cowl in the video game Injustice: Gods Among Us, but went in another direction because the designs were too similar to the look in Christopher Nolan's Dark Knight trilogy.
Last week, MStars reported on the possible design of the new Batmobile for the Batman vs. Superman movie in 2015. The report from Batman-on-Film.com indicated that General Motors was designing and building the new vehicle, which would not have a military look like the one in Nolan's trilogy.
Now, Comicbookmovie.com reports that GM is in fact working on the designs, but production designer Nathan Crowley and engineers Chris Culvert and Andy Smith (all three of whom worked on Nolan's trilogy) have also been consulted on the designs. Furthermore, the site reports that some elements from the Tumbler in Nolan's movies could be incorporated into the new Batmobile.
Finally, Comicbookmovie.com reports that Henry Cavill, who played Clark Kent/Superman in Man of Steel, received a copy of David S. Goyer's script last week. Superman's costume will also change somewhat and two different teams are working on the suits.
