Creepy! The house where Meredith Kercher was butchered to death by the accused, Amanda Knox and Raffaele Sollecito is up for sale.

The exchange students, Knox from Seattle, and Kercher from the U.K. became roommates in a cottage located in Perugia, Italy and weeks later Kercher was found brutally murdered in 2007.

The real estate agent is asking for about $500,000 for the 10-room cottage. You can see the listing on Via della Pergola, according to Radar online.

Vincenzo Russo, of the Tocnocasa agency says there will probably be "some difficulty" in trying to get the house sold.

"We have received requests for information, and many, who are probably busybodies, have already visited our web page," he said. "I hope to exclude macabre curiosity seekers because the property has a certain value."

U.S. sellers require to disclose if a murder has taken place in a house, but in Italy rules are not the same.

Knox and Sollecito were convicted in 2009 and served long prison sentences.  After serving time, two years later their convictions were overturned and the lovers were set free.

But under Italian law, prosecutors have been given permission to try a new case against the two. The proceedings have already started and Knox is still claiming she is innocent, and that she will not be returning to Italy. This decision allows Knox Italian attorneys to keep defending her.

A verdict from appeals court is expected to be issued in January.
