Rihanna is speaking out telling all that her accountant made so many wrong decisions that he wasted her fortune and she was "effectively bankrupt" at the end of 2009.
TMZ reports that the "Diamond" star claims in new legal documents that she had $11 million in cold hard cash at the beginning of 2009. The singer says that her accountant was not responsible; leaving her shocked to learn that she had $2 million left, at the end of that year. Things took a turn for the worse when Rihanna's expenses doubled, leaving her in a financial hole.
Rihanna spent $9 million in one year after her accountant gave her permission to buy a house priced between $7 and 7 1/2 million. So she trusted him, and then ultimately sold the house for a $2 million loss.
The "Rude Boy" singer also claims that her 2009 tour, Last Girl on Earth Tour lost money but she never knew because her accountant did not tell her.
Legal documents were filed in connection with a lawsuit the singer filed against her accountant, Rihanna is claiming gross mismanagement.
Although Rihanna suffered some money issues, she has also gained. The pop stars net worth is now estimated at $43 million.
