Gossip Girl alum Blake Lively has been in the headlines lately for her beautiful baby bump, but we mustn't forget the mother-to-be is still a working actress! In fact, this week we were treated to Ryan Reynolds' wife's return to the big screen in a new trailer for The Age of Adaline. Costarring Ellen Burstyn, Harrison Ford, and Game of Thrones heartthrob Michiel Huisman as her love interest, Lively portrays a woman that hasn't aged since she turned 27 - in the 1930s! The Age of Adaline hits theaters April 24, 2015.
"It sounds like wish fulfillment to look like Blake Lively forever. But she cannot grow old with anyone," director Lee Toland Krieger told USA Today this week, according to Slash Film. "In a world consumed with youth and vanity, there's something very fresh and beautiful about a story focusing on the beauty of growing old."
This anti-aging element is definitely intriguing, especially knowing the Burstyn is actually portraying Lively's daughter in this film.
"It was one of the elements of the film I was most nervous about," the director said. "But you instantly believe them as mother and daughter. I know it sounds a bit crazy."
