For as long as Dunkin Donuts and Starbucks Coffee have been in business, there's been an unspoken feud between the companies. Of course, this is more so from the coffee drinkers themselves than the actual employees of either a Starbucks or Dunkin Donuts. Regardless, it looks like the java company from Seattle has taken a step forward because word has it that they've recently opened up a Willa Wonka-esque tasting room and Roastery near their original Seattle location. Yes, remember that candy room in Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory? The good one ... not the Johnny Depp-Tim Burton horror show. Well, imagine that filled with coffee! Mmmm...
The New York Daily News has reported that after two years of designing, the company has finally opened a "sprawling new artisan roasting and tasting room" in Seattle. The coffee company describes the room as "an interactive, immersive space dedicated to roasting and coffee education." Our guess is Wonka would be oh, so proud.
Starbucks CEO Howard Schultz said of the room, "This Roastery is the fulfillment of a decade-long dream – an homage to our relentless pursuit of coffee innovation that will create for our customers the most immersive, sensory demonstration of how we source, roast and craft the finest coffee from around the world."
And now, experience the Starbucks Reserve Roastery and Tasting Room!
The point of the Roastery is to create a new form of rare and "exotic" coffees for the company's Starbucks Reserve brand, coffees that you cannot find anywhere else in the world.
As mentioned in the video, the roastery is located just nine blocks from the original Starbucks store. So, what we're saying is, anyone else planning on purchasing a ticket to Seattle??
Readers, do you think Starbucks has succeeded in making the "Willy Wonka of coffee" with the above Roastery?© 2019 Mstars News, All rights reserved. Do not reproduce without permission.
