Now that MTV's hit reality show "Teen Mom" is officially over (part one of the reunion show with Dr. Drew airs Tuesday night, Sept. 4), some fans were pretty pumped to hear that one lucky teen mom may get the chance to trademark her own spinoff show. The excitement grew when those rumors began to circulate around Maci Bookout, mother of Bentley and a big "Teen Mom" fan-favorite. But according to 21-year-old Bookout in a recent Twitter post, fans shouldn't always be quick to believe what they hear.
According to a recent post on the "Teen Mom" fan site, alltheteenmoms.com: "MTV started filming Maci for a spin off a few weeks ago, around the time of her 21st Birthday." The source doesn't go into much detail, but confirms that cameras have been following around the mother-son duo Maci and Bentley, suggesting a "Teen Mom" follow-up series. Rumors have it that Bookout's current boyfriend Kyle King would also star.
But in a Tweet posted late on Monday, Bookout writes:
@MaciBookoutMTV: "DO NOT believe everything u read, well actually anything unless its coming from me. #fakestories #spinoff #parenting #life."
So is this Bookout's way of denying the spinoff show rumors, or of leading fans off the hot trail because such suspicions are actually true?
Bookout has expressed interest in returning to television following her success on "Teen Mom," but looks like the ex-girlfriend of Ryan Edwards would rather take some time off now to focus on three-year-old Bentley and her relationship with King. According to her Twitter profile, Bookout is currently a "Public Speaker. Writer. Teen and Unplanned Pregnancy Prevention Advocate. Single mom changing the world!" Wonder if Bookout has room to add "Teen Mom" spinoff reality television show star to such a killer resume?
