The iOS 6 release was set for Sept. 19, 2012, just 5 days after the the iPhone 5 preorder release and 2 days before the iPhone 5 in store release.  Apple manages to bring all the attention to the famous brand and their products in concentrated form.

Millions of people pre-ordered the iPhone 5 on Sept. 14th, and Apple fanatics have even camped out days before Sept. 21st to be able to get their hands on the first phones off the store shelves.

If you already own an iPhone 4 or 4S, the iOS 6 upgrade may have you thinking about upgrading your phone model also.

"I have an iPhone 4, and I was very happy with it. When I found out that the new iOS 6 was being released. I really felt like maybe it was time for me to get a new phone too.  haha.  Apple is tempting me." said one Mstarz reporter, Mia Smith.

In case you have not upgraded your iOS yet, here are some of the improved features:

Integration with Facebook:

In addition to the Twitter integration that is currently available with the iOS5, Facebook will be integrated as well.

Improved Version of Siri:

Apple has taken into consideration the complaints that many users had with the old Siri.  The new Siri will be available for the iPad and even allows you to launch apps and tweet by voice, make restaurant reservations among other improvements.

New Phone App Features:

Apple users will be able to set a "DO NOT DISTURB" feature to block notifications and alerts.  Another new feature will allow users to set reminders to call people back and send messages instead of calling.

FaceTime on 3G:

FaceTime is not limited to Wifi anymore.  It's now available over the 3G cellular network.

New In-House Maps:

Google maps will no longer be on the new iOS 6.  Apple has created their own maps.  Many have complained about the new Apple maps.  Apple affirms that it is only going to get better over time.

iCloud Tabs integration:

One cool feature will allow users to browse from one Apple device to another Apple device with the same iCloud tabs open on each of the iCloud-connected devices.

Certain contacts that are important can now be marked, and all their messages will be starred through the Mail VIPs option.

The new photo stream will allow easy sharing of photos with friends.
