Cheryl Tiegs is known as America's first supermodel and the American beauty turned 65 years old today.  Born on September 25, 1947, Teigs has aged beautifully and gorgeous for her age.

Tiegs has covered top magazines including Time, Vogue and Sports Illustrated since she started modeling back in the 1960s.  The modeling industry was very different back in the 60s and 70s compared to what it is now.

"I could never have retired on the money that I was paid back then," Tiegs said to early September.

"My first big contract was for CoverGirl. I made $75,000 for a three-year contract, and that was a lot of money. But it was a far cry from what today's supermodels are making," she confessed.

Most recently Tiegs appeared on the Sept 2012 issue of Canadian magazine DINE.  She is currently single and has a 21 year old son.

Happy Birthday Cheryl!
