Who knew that Daenerys was one of us? Our favorite Game of Thrones cast member, Emilia Clarke, just got some major brownie points and street cred, as she just totally whipped out one of the best "Valley Girl" accents that we think we have ever heard. While she is 100 percent British, she decided to trade in her prim and proper accent for a SoCal one that is straight out of her favorite movie Clueless. During an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live to promote her upcoming blockbuster flick Terminator Genisys, Emilia recalls a story of when she went to Home Depot and dubbed a new accent as a way to not be recognized.
In the YouTube clip that the ABC late night posted to their channel, the Mother of Dragons tells Jimmy how she went to the home improvement store while she was living in New Orleans to get an air conditioning unit, but as a way to thwart people coming up to her she decided to equip the fabulous accent.
Not only does she put her all into the accent, but it seems that she has created a whole alter-ego around the voice, as Us Weekly is reporting that the name that goes with the voice is "Callie from the Valley."
"I put this cap on and I thought it would be a really good idea to do an American accent because I thought people might clock me less. It was late so my American accent from Terminator kinda changed a lit bit to Callie from the Valley," the star explained, adding in her SoCal accent, "She's like this whole situation."
She gives credit to the '90s movie, Clueless, for helping her achieve the spot on impression.
"I, like, love Clueless," the starlet explained.© 2019 Mstars News, All rights reserved. Do not reproduce without permission.
