Because nostalgia goes a long way with audiences, Fox is officially planning the revival of their popular crime drama, Prison Break. In Season 5, do Dominic Purcell (Lincoln Burrows) and Wentworth Miller (Michael Scofield) have an official March 2016 premiere date?
As we previously mentioned, Fox is currently developing a limited-series revival of its drama series. In the ten episode arc, Miller and Purcell reprise once more as their sibling characters. Described as a "the perfect event series" by Fox co-chairman Gary Newman promised this will be a closed-ended storyline. Details were first sketchy because Michael passed away in the series finale, but it seems like that ending will be tossed away. Robert Knepper also reprised his role as T-Bag in an episode of Breakout Kings.
According to the UK site of Glamour Magazine, "Prison Break season 5 is expected to premiere this March 2016 in the US. For the UK, it's still not confirmed when we'll be treated to it. Though fingers crossed Netflix will have our backs."
Because this is all speculation, we await confirmation that March 2016 is indeed the show's official premiere.
As we previously mentioned, The Walking Dead actress, Sarah Wayne Callies, revealed during the Television Critics Association press tour she doesn't know if her character will return, "No one's asked me yet, so I don't know. If we can find a way to honor [Sara and Michael] by telling a beautiful continuing story - and my bosses [on Colony] let me do another show - I would love to. There is such a long list of things that are out of my hands, but my heart is very, very excited about it."
Callies will next be seen in the upcoming Colony from USA Network, which premieres Thursday, January 14 at 10pm.
